Laga – Goiko

The terracotta plate with its enamelled upper part is the central element in the LAGA collection. Depending on the shape it is given, it can be a vase, a fruit bowl or a container for emptying out one's pockets. These objects, whose functions have not been fully determined, are midway between being useful and being decorative. This work is done entirely on the wheel. On the basis of our reflection, we decided to use the wheel which is the basic technique for the collection. It is most likely the oldest technique in pottery. That way we align our contemporary production today with the thousands of pieces of work that have been done throughout history.
